Dear enthusiast of the history of magic,
now that the pandemic is slowly coming to an end, we are excited to invite you to the European Magic History Conference 2023 in
Ghent, Belgium.
The history of the village which was founded over 630 years ago is still readable in the city: a castle surrounded by a moat, three beguinages, a winter circus and an imposing cathedral which houses the masterpiece by the brothers Van Eyck; the Adoration of the Mystic Lamb.
The yearly fairs, the theaters and the winter circus were a regular halting place for international magicians.
Leon Herrmann, Alexander Herrmann, Donato, Pickman, Theatre Grandsart-Courtois, the Davenport Brothers, Charles de Vere, Henri Robin, Benevol, Steens, Suzy Wandas, James Randi,…
They all mesmerized the audiences of Ghent with their spectacles.
It is our goal to mesmerize you as well with an exclusive convention filled with lectures, shows and surprises from the
24th until the 27th of August 2023.
