APHELION a journey into the new PARAMA’s project

For those who didn’t know PARAMA, we talked about them on occasion of their previous projects and And we recently interviewed them Paolo and Raffelele have launched their new kickstarter project 10 days ago, getting excellent results, but what distinguishes Aphelion?

As for tradition, this deck brings with it a story: the Journey.

It’s “the journey” the main theme that inspired the two card designers, a theme that (I quote the creators):”it’s a word that can assume many meanings, moving from one place to another one, till interior search . When this ends it leaves a long trail of memories, and that is what we all live: experiences; and that is what we are: we are our experiences and their memory.”
An idea felt, the journey, by the two creators, who have met each other along a journey: the St. Jacobs way (el camino de Santiago) in Spain.

For this reason, the back of the cards is represented by a circle, what better than a wheel can represent the journey ?! But it is not the only interpretation that our back gives us, as a mystical work that gives us different interpretations on different levels, also the name Aphelion gives us a different interpretation, suggested by the name: aphelion is in fact the day when Earth is located at the farthest point of its revolution, therefore the back becomes an astral motion, a planet, the journey that the Earth cyclically performs (another possible interpretation of the back can be the cycle).

This is also an opportunity not only to have a deck of class and limited edition design that surely will tempt the collectors, but also an opportunity to support, once again, the journey (it must be said!) of these two dreamers who are the mirror of all the people in love with playing cards.
