ARTURO BRACHETTI awarded in London enters in the Olympus of international magic

The #theatre artist Arturo Brachetti, who is universally considered a quick-change legend, has been presented in London with the David Devant #Award for Services to International #Magic, a #recognition assigned by one of the most #prestigious #illusionist groups in the world, the Magic Circle of London. The Magic Circle confers the award upon great living artists as recognition and inclusion in the #Olympus of illusionists.

The award, named after the first #President of the #circle David Devant considered the most greatest #British #Magician of all time, is presented each year by The Magic Circle to a magician of exceptional talent. Other recipients include international magic greats such as David Copperfield, Paul Daniels, Lance Burton, Jeff McBride, Siegfried & Roy and Jay Marshall.
To this illustrious group we can now add Arturo Brachetti. As declared by the President of the Magic Circle, Scott Penrose, “Arturo remains one of our most unique and talented performers and I am delighted that he will be adding our most prestigious award to his already full cabinet of trophies!”.
The award comes at a particularly significant moment for the Italian artist who this year (2019) will celebrate 40 years of being on stage. Brachetti, now 62, will launch a European tour in October 2019 performing in his one-man-show SOLO. During the last three theatrical season tours, the legend of quick-change have been seen by more than 300,000 theatre goers.
ARTURO BRACHETTI is acclaimed worldwide and hailed as a true legend in the art of quick-change, a lost art which he revived from obscurity and by reinventing and transforming it he was able adapting it to a more contemporary setting.
His performing career kicked off in Paris back in the 80’s and from that moment on he has been unstoppable in a crescendo of world-wide successes and establishing himself as one of the few renowned Italian artists who manage to make their name known internationally He has performed on all four corners of the earth, in several languages and in hundreds of theatres. His one man show has so far recorded over 3,000,000 viewers worldwide.
He is the recipient of many awards and nominations including the French Moliere Award, the Canadian Olivier Award, two-time British Laurence Olivier award nominee for his shows Y and Change!, recipient the of French title of Le Chevalier des Arts et des Lettres and one of Italy’s highest civilian decorations the Commendatore della Repubbica. Brachetti is complete artist and an international figure and although he is often travelling the world, he maintains a strong bond with his Italy with those typical elements stamped on the Italian DNA, as seen in his work: Quality, an appreciation for beauty, refined taste and above all, imagination.
