I maghi dell’ IPad
Over the last ten years as a Technology magician I have created many stage pieces for trade shows and exhibitions using Digital Technology, but since the creation of the iPad I have am now seeling myself as an iPad Magician and have recently set up a new website devoted to my new genre of iPad magic.
I have always enjoyed the combination of technology and magic and over the years have either produced myself technology based magic tricks and gimmicks for magicians or invested in electronic partners like Hugo Shelley to help me develop some of my ideas to enable magicians to create effects they could only dream about 10 years ago.
I think all of us magicians are innately programmed to love all things tech related and we as magicians are always the early adopters of the latest gadget. I wonder how many of us are already thinking of what tricks we can do with the Google Glass when it eventually comes out for mass purchase in the UK or 3D printers, have any of you thought about what amazing trick we could do with that? We are already using 3D printers in some of the tricks that we produce, where we normally have to get plastic pieces made in the 1000s to make it viable with 3D printing we can get one off’s very cheap. I would like to hear your thoughts on this development.
Magic iPhone apps are becoming increasingly popular I have seen in the close up magicians circuit I have seen, where before magicians thought it was perhaps too gimmicky I now now magicians that won’t leave the house without their Card Now app ready and set up to go. Times are changing fast and I love watching to see how we magicians are embracing this new era of Digital Magic.
