MANGA Book Test by Michael O’Brien #review
Today i want to share with you a fantastic and amazing book test! I am talking about “The Manga Book Test“, a product born from the incredible Mind of Michael O’Brien! I really love all of his products, but i think that this one is a true masterpiece for all the book test lovers.
Let’s talk about the product. It is, obviously, a book test, but it involves some Manga (Japanese Comics) to make the test more funny, and it uses some properties that a Manga has (like the reading from right to left) to perform true miracles. Let’s assume that you are with your friends and they ask you to do something magical.
Then, you pick four Mangas from your library (or your friends can choose them). Every Spectator will now have one manga, and in different ways you will divine their words, or the drawing they are looking at. The Great thing here is that O’Brien will teach you a lot of methods to force a page, or to do a peek on a freely chosen page. Plus, O’Brien will share with you some bonus ideas and methods that will allow you to amaze your spectators.
The product itself consist of a booklet and a lot of video tutorials, with also complete, fully explained routine. O’Brien explains all of the methods in a really easy way, making the product suitable even for the magician that doesn’t understand english very well. Obviously, these methods can be used for every kind of book tests, but i really love the idea of doing it with a manga, that you can always carry with you.
Let’s talk about the difficulty. If you are familiar with the various riffle forces, you will start in advantage. If this is your first book test don’t worry. As said before, the methods are explained very well and they are not difficult to learn. For example, you can start with the easiest method by preparing a “gimmicked” page (it can be done in less than five seconds), and going further to learn methods that don’t involve a gimmicked manga, making the book test totally impromptu. You can use peeks and the “one ahead” principle (explained in the videos and in the booklet) to make the spectator freely chose any page and in case change its selection.
In conclusion, you can adapt the book test to your skill level without losing its quality. The price is really low, about 20$. Considering the large amount of methods and bonuses, i think that it’s a real gift from one of the best magicians.
